Maggie's Pizza

Their new location on Everhart is finally open... So we finally got a chance to order our favorite pizza!!! We got half pepperoni and half fresh tomato and it was delish! They used diced tomatoes, rather than the chunks which I liked better. Their crust was also a bit different, but still amazing! Overall, it's still the best pizza in Corpus Christi!!! (In my top three of all my fave pizza places!) Ohh and the service is always great!

Town & Country Cafe

Yet another wonderful breakfast at T&C with Phillip! They never seem to disappoint us there!!  Phillip and I try to go there every Sunday we are in town... and we usually always get the same thing!  Sometimes we will throw in a pancake, but it's usually bacon & eggs for us!  Phillip loves the one egg over easy with hash browns, biscuits, and bacon extra crispy! I on the other hand enjoy the one egg over easy with bacon extra crispy and wheat toast dry!  Mmm always delicious!

Katz 21 Steaks & Spirits

So I went to the preview of Katz 21's new Southside location and it was quite impressive!  It was a gorgeous building both inside and outside, which is necessary if you have high food prices!  My only concern was the amount of dining space.  They had a fabulous & roomy bar area inside and outside, which took up half the building!  Then there was a large banquet space... leaving 1/4 of the bottom floor to seated dining.  When you think about it, you may be waiting quite a bit for a table or chancing it in the bar area!  (We never did find out what goes on upstairs though.... If they were smart they would add more dining tables up there!  I guess something else could be going on up there...)  Ok so as far as the food goes... it was also impressive!  They had some bacon wrapped shrimp that made me go back for seconds!  Their mini sliders were perfectly cooked, yet the crab cakes were a bit dry.  Ohh and their deserts were sooo delicious!  They had some petit fours that had everybody talking, although I was a much bigger fan of the chocolate mousse  with the espresso bean on top!!  Overall, I am very interested to make another visit when they are officially open!!

Edamame... great! The sushi... not all great. We ordered a few different rolls and the only one that we really liked was the Shaggy Dog. It was a bit on the sweeter side, but was still tasty!  It was also interesting how they brought out each roll separately... as they were ready. So it was disappointing when the best roll came out first, and we had to finish on a bad note.  The service was pretty good, but there also weren't that many people there. It took her a while to fill up my first glass of water, but after that she made sure it was always full!
Imperial Cafe & Sushi Bar on Corona Drive still makes my favorite sushi in Corpus!
